Priscilla Ainhoa Griscti is a Maltese Artist, illustrator and designer born in Castellón, Spain in 1985. Based in Malta, she is self-taught and is presently working as a full-time freelance artist.

Ainhoa is known for her dreamlike and emotionally charged drawings and illustrations that oscillate between realism, magical realism, surrealism and expressionism. Her drawings are marked with linear precision and fine draughtsmanship that highlights her graphic bravura. Ainhoa’s designs are characterised by biomorphic forms that gives the viewer a deep insight into her surreal and otherwordly vision.

“Whilst drawing I search for a spiritual understanding of reality, by going deeply into my subconscious… I am also strongly inspired by the mystery and essence of what is primordial in nature… where I try to capture in my drawings an energy that is alive and pulsating…”

Ainhoa held solo exhibitions in prominent galleries and museums namely the Mdina Cathedral Museum and the Malta Maritime Museum, amongst other eminent venues. She collaborated with internationally renown artists in various collective exhibitions, such as the Centraal Station in Amsterdam and Grand Palais de Champs-Elysées in Paris.

Ainhoa has appeared on the front cover of local magazines such as ‘The Sunday Circle’,‘Tune In and ‘Gallarija’, issued with the Sunday Times of Malta newspaper. Her art has been featured on book covers in Turkey and in numerous foreign magazines and publications. Her drawings have been praised by both local and international art connoisseurs, critics and enthusiasts. Ainhoa’s  works found their place in important private collections throughout Malta & Gozo, Germany, Italy, England, Switzerland, Spain, UAE, Australia and Canada.

Ainhoa also achieved an M.A. and a B.A.(Hons) Degree in Art History from the University of Malta.
